A self-taught entrepreneur, Jeff grew up in his family’s Central Oregon ranching business, learning the ropes from his father and grandfather. They taught him valuable lessons around how to respond to change and challenges in a volatile, complex industry. Jeff took those lessons to heart when he assumed ownership of the Redmond-based Larkin Valley Ranch. 

 

There and along with his wife, Julie, he evolved the legacy ranching establishment into a purely grass-fed, sustainable pasture-to-package operation that’s in high demand today. He learned to buy, sell and develop properties while gaining building, land planning and development experience through his own construction business. Focused primarily in agricultural, ranching, rural and horse properties, this, too, has become an entrepreneurial success.

 

During the 2008 real estate crash, Jeff pulled together a team of investors. The idea was to provide affordable loans to people struggling to buy Central Oregon homes. The need was real, and Jeff led this team to empower dozens of people with home ownership in this difficult time. 

 

Helping others through creative solutions, hard work ethic and compassion ignited Jeff’s interest in building his own real estate firm. His first step: working at an area real estate chain, putting in 12-hour days and becoming its top producing agent. Then, with different ideas around how to provide stellar customer experiences and business management, he launched his own independent agency in downtown Redmond.
